A gloss glaze is a glaze that potters tend to put over underglazes to give it a glossy finish. Gloss Glazes tend to look pink before fired but due to the chemical processing in the Kiln, dry clear.

A gloss colour is gloss and gloss is painted on clay. The color (colour) looks like glass. It has chemicals that can make you sick. (Every paint type does!) I think lead might be used in it. I also think lead is spelled "led."

You have to be more specific on the type, there are lip glazes, hair glazes, paint glazes. What type are you interested in, all have gloss, (shinny) simi gloss, etc..

How do you get the gloss off a ceramic figure?

The gloss is fired on glaze. In short, it's a very thin coating of glass. You might try using a very fine emery cloth to dull the glaze, but the results won't be what you wish. For a temporary fix, try simply painting over the glaze with acrylic wash. It will dull the finish. After all, you might change your mind later.

What is the gloss or glaze they use in salons and can you do it yourself at home I go to Gene Juarez and they usually put a gloss in my hair to tone the highlights Can I do it?

Yes you can use a shine booster in your hair. It works like a semi hair colour. you just add it to your hair like you would a hair dye. Matrix Prizms in clear gloss is one such product you can buy, or just go to your local salon services that sales to the public and ask the cashier about them.

Can you put plaster of Paris models in the oven once painted to 'glaze' them?

no. the white will burn and become brown, or could start a fire!!! glaze should not be used on plaster only paint is suggested. if you want a glaze look, use polyurithane. this you can let air dry and it will be glossyANSWER:No heat required. Either use a high gloss latex paint for a glossy sheen, or use a clear spar varnish to seal and protect. It may take more than one coat as plaster of Paris is very porous.
