A government which is made by people is called democratic government.A government that is selected, implemented, and constrained by the people.
Democratic government base their authority and legitimacy on the people of their country. If you have a King who rules by virtue of family ties or the will of God or a dictator who rules by fear and physical power over the people you do not have a democratic government. There are many ways the people of a country can arrange their political affairs to be considered democratic, but it always starts with the people. Democratic governments typically embrace liberty and freedom as the citizens prefer freedom to tyranny. its a democratic republic. that's a type of government. Unfortunately the name of the country does not always tell you the type of government it has, in this case it is a semi-presidential republic. As a rule of thumb if a country has 'Democratic' in its name it generally is no such thing.
The type of economy usually matches the type of government. For example, a democratic country will usually have a capitalist (or free market-based) economy while a non-democratic country will usually have a socialist economy. The more freedom there is in the government usually brings about more freedom in the economy. However, I would say that the type of government affects the economy and not vice versa. Of course, if the economy completely crashed, it could cause a democratic country to become non-democratic. People tend to vote for radical decisions during crises.
The oldest democratic country is generally considered to be Iceland, with its parliamentary government dating back to the year 930.
