ok renaissance art has more depth- it's 3D, uses shadows and perspective more (perspective is when, for example, you draw a table with angled lines to make it look 3D rather that straight lines- then it looks like everything should fall off the table....) renaissance art also focuses more on the induvidiual, their feelings and their struggles. You'll find that authors also begin to focus on feelings in literature. renaissance art depicts more humanistic subjects than the middle ages did, the backgrounds are also more worldly than they had been in the middle ages. Middle ages art is usually flat and religiously related. It's pretty impersonal and symbolic, and other-worldly. also, the scale of Middle ages paintings is strange. The most important person (usually the most powerful religious figure) is the largest, and so on. The proportions of smaller people such as children and infants were off- there were drawn more as smaller adults than as minors.... hope this helps!
Ancient architecture was limited to what you could achieve with stone (and concrete). Modern architecture is limited by what you can achieve with steel, reinforced concrete and glass.
Depending on the type modern architecture can utilize both past, present and future technologies and design. A major distinction between the two are the future architecture increasingly focuses on function such as energy conservation and earthquake resistance and then combining them with aesthetics.
Greek art is most noted for influencing our representation of the human figure. The Greeks analyzed the anatomy of their male "hero" figures, teaching us how to portray muscles, bones, natural stance and athletic poses both in sculpture and 2 demensional art. Though art has evolved much since the Greeks, each artist must learn the basics of representation before they can take their art in a more modern direction. Great artists such as Pablo Picasso perfected their realistic (Greek inspired) techniques before they diverted to their own style.
It is more complex and stronger now. And besides, remarkable ancient buildings are always built for religious purposes..it's different now though. We have so many beautiful structures now!

Both ancient Greek architecture and modern architecture emphasize the use of columns for structural support. Both styles also prioritize creating harmony and balance in design, often incorporating elements of symmetry and proportion. Additionally, both ancient Greek and modern architecture place importance on creating buildings that are functional and serve a specific purpose.
