in 1981 the mint started to issue the 1$ coin again. the first sets did not have the 1$ much later the 1$ coin was added that year thus making a lower production num. and more valuable. in addition to the amount of coins in the set the s mint was either rounded or flattened in the relief.

The difference between the two is a common misconception, early renaissance is more of an older looking type of painting with less colour and more of a pastel type of affect. High renaissance is more of a modern type, but clearly not too much different, just more colour and meaning.

What IS the difference between cat and pet scan?

The difference is in the type of radiation used to form the image. A Computed Axial Tomography (CAT) scan can use any type of radiation to create the image, the specific type is not specified in the name, but most often uses X-rays; but a Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan specifically uses positrons as the radiation form. A third type, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses the miniscule magnetic fields of naturally occurring compounds within the human body to create its images.

What is the value of a 1981 Kennedy proof half dollar coin?

It would depend on if the coin was released as a proof coin (very shiny and looks mirror like, with an "S" mint mark) or an "uncirculated" coin and the general condition of the coin. A Proof coin, depending on blemishes (or lack there of) and if it is a Type I or Type II, can get between $7 and $65. An uncirculated coin that has never been in someone's pocket, touched or scratched can get between $2 and $750. In any case, if the coin has been touched or damaged, spend it for the face value.
