SDHC (secure digital, high capacity) or microSD cards are very common in DSLRs and digital range finder cameras.
SD cards have different "types" like 2, 4, and 10 which is in reference to the read/write speed. Write speed is really only critical if you are doing the kind of Photography that requires shooting in successive bursts using the RAW (highest quality, no processing) format (not sure why anyone would need to do this). Such shooting might fill a DSLR camera's buffer. In the course of taking more traditional images (snapshots, still lifes, etc.) the camera's built in buffer begins writing to the card while allowing you to immediately capture the next image.
Your read speed will determine how long it takes to transfer images from your card to your computer. I have a type 6 that I most commonly use and I can transfer 20+ RAW images in a matter of seconds via the card reader on my laptop.
Any digital camera is a good start, HD doesn't really pertain to still photography anymore. Only video
Conventional/traditional photography is the use of film to capture images in a camera. The film then must be developed, resulting in negatives (negative images) of the images. These negatives are then enlarged using special equipment and paper and then printed and developed chemicals. Digital cameras capture images using sensors on a memory card, which are then transferred to a computer for printing on specialized printers. The benefits of traditional darkroom photography is the amazing quality of the photographs. Only in recent years has digital photography even began to compare to the quality of traditional film, but it is increasing in both quality and popularity. In the near future it is projected to be equal to and even surpass traditional photography. The benefits of digital photography are the ease of use and convenience. Images can be viewed and deleted instantly, instead of shooting through multiple rolls without knowing if you have a successful image.
1 - If you make a 'mistake' during shooting - you can simply erase the shot and re-take it. 2 - You don't need to send anything away to be developed. The pictures you take are instantly produced, and can be downloaded to a computer for printing or editing.
Terminator 2 was shot before Digital was being used. It's shot on film, of which stock I'm still trying to figure out myself.
Until about ten years ago cameras used film -- clear plastic with a coating that is sensitive to light. The camera exposed light from the scene onto the film which was later removed from the camera and put in chemicals to cause the images to appear. This chemical process is called developing the film. Some professional photographers, serious amateurs, and people who have not yet bought a digital camera still use film cameras. I assume these film cameras are what you are calling 'normal.' Digital cameras create images by light from the scene onto electronic sensors which convert the light falling on them to signals that can be recorded in digital files the way computer data is recorded. These files can then be transferred to computers to be printed.

I have discovered that the Vistaquest Digital Camera has a lot of options compared to a regular digital camera. The Vistaquest Digital offers digital still and video, DVD/TV Portable, Scanners and MP3 Players.
If you are using the Sony Cyber-shot, it just means Digital Still Camera!
A Vistaquest digital camera can take decent still photographs, as well as take choppy digital video. You should compare it to other models when you're considering a purchase.
It depends on the model. Most digital still cameras will take SD or SDHC cards - these are also widely used in digital video cameras.
A digital movie camera is a motion picture camera that uses a computer chip. The first versions still put the data to tape, usually a mini DV tape. Nowadays digital movie cameras have hard drives or take SD cards.
Digital camera keychains are relatively inexpensive, depending on the type you would like to buy. There are several quality keychains that are $9, and some that are $17. Still you could get a really high quality digital camera keychain for much more than this.
The Kodak M1033 10-Megapixel Easyshare Digital Camera is great for still-life photos with its 10 Megapixel resolution.
Yes because some features like the portrait shots work best with a completly still camera.

For taking still picture most defiantly. Digital camera sensors are much more sensitive then video cameras and take higher quality still images.
