It is simply the Photography of all types of wildlife (fish, birds, mammals) whatever takes your fancy. Some people include plants and wild landscapes (it is all nature). For most people this is a hobby and ties in with them also being interested in wildlife and walking and travelling. A few lucky people manage to make a career out of it but it is probably the hardest form of photography as animals are generally nervous and unpredictable, hard to find and remote.

Nature photography is photography of waterfalls, creeks, forests, trees, flowers, wildlife, mountains and other beautiful wonders of God's creations.

What camera accessories are needed for wildlife photography?

The shortest zoom that would be really useful for wildlife photography is a 300 mm, but a good lens to start off with is a 75 to 300 mm zoom, or a 100 to 300 mm zoom. Probably, the best lens to go with would be a 400 mm f5.6 lens for wildlife photography, because more than likely, a 300 will be too short. You should also buy a good, sturdy tripod. Make sure it's not too heavy for you to carry around.

Why do people shoot animals with a camera not with a gun?

People choose to shoot animals with a camera rather than a gun to capture their beauty and preserve moments of wildlife in a non-lethal way. Photography allows for the appreciation of nature, promotes conservation awareness, and fosters a deeper connection to the environment. Additionally, wildlife photography can provide valuable data for research and conservation efforts without harming the animals. Ultimately, it reflects a growing recognition of the importance of coexistence with nature.

What is your favorite type of photography?

Environmental portraiture is my favorite genre of photography. I enjoy photographing people in their homes, places of employment, and outdoor environments because context enhances personality. These pictures use composition, lighting, and subtle facial expressions to tell stories. Each portrait is made vivid, relatable, and emotionally complex by revealing authenticity and the relationship between the subject and the surroundings.
