its a gas that goes into it not a liquid. You will need to retrofit your car for the new gas as R-12 has been outlawed. The new gas is called R-134A
Low on coolant or a sticky thermostat, replace it.
Generally the coolant goes in the bottom of the heater core and out the top only because the coolant makes less noise this way if there happens to be trapped air in the system, otherwise it doesn't matter.
Most of the times the washer fluid goes into the same resirvoir as the front.
11 to 12gallons
you can't reset it, fill your coolant up full, both rad and overflow. the light will go out. if it is still on when everything is full, then your coolant sensor is broken or unplugged. if you light goes off then comes on again and your coolant is low, then you have a leak. if you have a 3400 engine in your lumina common leaks are intake gaskets, waterpumps, and head gaskets.
when the engine is running and coolant will become hot to its operating temperature, the cooling system is under pressure, coolant will overflow and goes to coolant reservoir.when the engine goes cold coolant will go back to the rediator.
it goes into your radiator, and then through your cooling system
That is were the coolant goes when it expands. Sounds like coolant isn't circulating or it is being forced out of the system.
Yes this is a safety precaution for the system to not allow the A/C system to work when the --- appear in the coolant temperature. Replace the coolant temperature sensor to get this --- to start displaying the temperature again.
It is on the pipe behind the engine that goes to cabin radiator
You drain the oil immediately. If you run the engine with coolant mixed with the oil you will do serious harm to the engine. If you continue to drive it in this condition you will destroy the engine.
You don't add coolant directly to the radiator, rather it goes into an overflow reservoir in the engine compartment. There will be a "min" or "max" line (or both) showing the proper level to be maintained. The reason we do not remove the radiator cap anymore is to keep the coolant system a sealed system so that no air can penetrate the coolant systems. By adding coolant through the reservoir (which has liquid in it already which is drawn from the bottom of that reservoir) we are not comprising the sealed system.

it might be the thermostate, or if your prestone goes down your lose pressure in your coulant system but change your t-stat first.
Coolant goes in the radiator or you can also fill the radiator resevoir.
Low on coolant or a sticky thermostat, replace it.
