When painting a mural on an interior wall, with brushes, any good quality acrylic craft paint will do. You may want to topcoat a mural in a bathroom with a latex based polyurethane, to seal it from water/steam damage.
If you are working with an airbrush, your standard acrylic airbrush paints will do just fine.
For exterior murals use an exterior grade acrylic paint. Be sure the paint is colorfast as if you don't the colors may fade or change, causing the work to be damaged or lost.
