"MacCulloch" is a family name. The prefix "Mc-" [or "Mac-"] is a patronymic (name component) meaning "son of".In the case of the movie, "McCulloch" is the clan's name -- "sons of Culloch". They chant it in reference to the clan's victory.
The Sons of Liberty. They were originally started by many people, including Samuel Adams.

Cartier wanted to show the king
Jacques Cartier took Chief Donnacona's sons to France to demonstrate the power and wealth of his country, hoping to gain favor and support for his exploration efforts. The act was likely seen as a way to create a relationship with the First Nations people and secure their cooperation and assistance in his expeditions.
He wanted gold . i think thats the reason!!----
no not really, because he took chief donnacona and his two sons back to France with him and nobody ever saw them again.
when Jacques Cartier came ashore at the Gaspe peninsula he met Chief Donnacona and his 3 sons, 2 of which he later took hostage as proof of the existence of the new world (Canada)
Donnacona's sons were Domagaya and Taignoagny. They were Indigenous leaders who encountered French explorer Jacques Cartier during his expeditions to Canada in the 16th century.
They helped them survive winter by giving them a tea with the leaves of northern white cedar tree would cure scurvy which helped them survive the long winter. Also Chief Donnacona's 2 sons went to France with Cartier and earned French. This allowed them to be interpreters for the Iroquois and the French.
he took them back to france so they could learn french so that the native and french could communicate with each other
Jacques Cartier was a French explorer who was sent by King Francois I. When he went on his first voyage, he traveled to the Gulf of hte St. Lawrence River. At first, he'd thought he wouldn't make it, then he saw a group of Aboriginal people called the Mi'kmaq( Migmac). He traded metal goods to them, then when the Mi'kmaq saw these metal goods, they began to take their clothes off for the metal goods. Then Cartier continued down on the St. Lawrence River, then he found another group of Aboriginal people called the Haudenosaunee( Ha-the-naw-sun-nee). He put a cross onto the ground saying "Long Live the King of France!" Donnacona, the chief of the Haudenosaunee, made a cross with his fingers representing the cross then spreaded out his arms as he was representing the land around him then he turned his head like he was saying no. When Cartier left, he took Donnacona's 2 sons,Domagaya and Taignoagny. He also heard that this land was called 'kanata', so he put Canada across his map which later to be a country. There is a link below.
The first encounters between the Europeans and the natives must have been shocking to both. They would probably find the other group a little bit strange. Aboriginal accounts of these meetings were actually written down somewhere and soon became part of history. They wanted to discover the new world because the sons of the chief of an Iroquois group named DonnaCona said that there was gold somewhere in "Canada" and so Jacques Cartier took both sons back to France to be proof and translates. Sowwie that's all i have. I hope this will help...
