NBC-4 Interlcocked NBC letters and Peacock- signifying color Tv. ABC- channel 7 who reportedly had the best sound trucks in the business- as big as buses and needed them for frequent musical concert work-, and the n the (secondary) channels 5-WNEW, 9- RKO- WOR and Channel II ( Originally WPIX and at one time owned by the New York Daily News. 9 and II covered much Baseball- also many reruns and old films particularily Science Fiction. Channel l3. originally WNDT had the classiest station break, a posed shot of a modern TV Camera and taped music of what I later found out was the finale of ( Carnival of the4 Animals) and up-beat carnival music it was.Channel l3 is, of course, now WNET the educational channel 2=4=5=7=9-11-l3 There you have it.
