A poem of Callimachus - the goddess "who amuses herself on mountains with Archery" - imagines some charming vignettes: at three years old, Artemis asked her father, Zeus, while sitting on his knee, to grant her six wishes. Her first wish was to remain chaste for eternity, and never to be confined by marriage. She then asked for lop-eared hounds, stags to lead her chariot, and nymphs to be her hunting companions, 60 from the river and 20 from the ocean. Also, she asked for a silver bow like her brother Apollo.
Zeus did not send Artemis to find her own gifts. When she was three, Zeus gave her these gifts:
1. To be a virgin forever.
2. A silver (or gold) bow and arrows forged by the cyclops.
3. To be dressed in a short tunic so her legs would be free to run.
4. All the mountains to be her domain.
5. A fleet of 60 nymphs to be her hunting companions.
6. A pack of hounds to hunt with.
to remain always a virgin; to have many names to set her apart from her brother Apollo; to be the Phaesporia or Light Bringer; to have a bow and arrow and a knee-length tunic so that she could hunt; to have sixty "daughters of Okeanos", all nine years of age, to be her choir; and for twenty Amnisides Nymphs as handmaidens to watch her dogs and bow while she rested. She wished for no city dedicated to her, but to rule the mountains, and for the ability to help women in the pains of childbirth
They were not wishes, Artemis asked to be given them, and those things Zeus granted her. It comes from the Callimachus Hymn, below is a link to it.
Artemis in Greek myth did not have three wishes, nor did she grant three wishes to anyone.
According to Greek Mythology, since Artemis is a goddess, she can take any disguise she wishes. If she truly wanted she could turn to look like any animal, plant, human, or other object she wishes. This was the same for all Greek gods and goddesses
Since Artemis was the goddess of the Hunt, it was practical that she had a bow and arrow.
The Greek goddess Artemis is a female. However, if you are referring to Artemis Fowl, Artemis Fowl is a male.
There is no planet named after Artemis.
Artemis is the daughter of Leto and Zeus. Artemis is also the twin sister of Apollo.
If you do not ask, you will not get. If you ask, at least you will make your wishes known. The fact that you ask does not mean you will get. It simply means you will make your wishes known. Sometimes wishes are granted but postponed.
