Cars do not burn coolant per say as cars burn gas. What makes your car use or go through a lot of coolant is if you have a leak someplace in the hoses, radiator system, radiator cap, freeze out plug, or too much straight water will make it run hotter.
Is this car heating up? Are you adding straight water every time? It also could be a blown head gasket, but then it would be so hot the engine would stop and seize up. Can you smell it? If it smells like antifreeze but you don't see any tell tail signs of water leaking, then I would first check all water hoses for a pin hole. Look over your radiator real good and use a good bright flash light even in the daylight, you will be surprised what you can see. look for water stains (colored) green or white or even rust color. This would be a leak or a old one.
a head gasket could very easily cause that. The cooling and oil channells would leak into your cylinder and be either burned or leak out of the exhaust. Check for water in your oil....turns white, and oil in your coolant.
Engine coolant leaking into cylinder. Possible bad head gasket.
my s-10 has a 383 stroker it runs about 190 until i cut it off then it runs about 230 i dont no if this is your problem but mine had to have a fan that ran for about two min after i cut it off.
The normal direction of circulation in the coolant system would push the coolant out the thermostat opening.
if your vehicle has computers, this can cause check engine light to come on,as a coolant leak ends up sending trouble message to computer
yes
leaking in large amounts? i would check a cracked hose.
Yes it can. A faulty thermostat can cause overheating which will cause coolant to be pushed out of the system.
a leak in a head gasket could cause coolant to go into only one cylinder.
No, low coolant would cause the opposite.
broken radiator
water pump, oil, water, engine coolant....main cause would be engine coolant, just check to see if you have a leak.
blown head gasket
troubleshoot the coolant on a 1999 oldsmobile intruge
Keyboards are not used for inputting large amounts of data because; it is too time consuming and mistakes can be common. A better alternative when inputing large amounts of data would be a microphone.
Leak in heater core
if this happens in a specific area, then the hill will loose all topsoil during rainstorms and there would be mudslides. It would also cause nearly all animals to vacate the area and it would become a fairly barren slope upwards. If this happens world-wide, then humans might die out due to the large amounts of oxygen trees produce and the large amounts of hills around the world.
you have to find where the leak is first.
