Where do you catch pinecone on soul silver?

You can catch Pineco in SoulSilver by headbutting a headbut tree. These trees can be found all over. the ones that are separate from the others are the ones with Pokemon in them. If the tree you headbutt doesn't have a Pokemon in it then it wont ever, no matter how many times you headbutt it. (www.serebii.net has almost anything you could possibly need on Pokemon)

Well you get the TM/TM headbutt from a guy in Ilex Forrest and then you go to a tree next to him somewere and headbutt it the their should be a Pokemon battle but if it is not the right Pokemon headbutt it again until you get it.

The Pokemon is actually called 'Pineco,' and I got mine by going to Route 38. You have to know the move 'Headbutt,' or else it will not work.

You learn headbutt by going to the Ilex Forest and getting that guy's Farfetch'd's, then he gives you the move Cut. Teach that to a Pokemon, and cut the first tree that you see. Than go around the Ilex Forest, and you will see this woman or man (whichever it is), and you find your way around the trees to get into that spot. You talk to her/him and he/she will ask you "Which Pokemon will learn this?" Pick a NORMAL type Pokemon. Than get out of the Ilex Forest. (NOT the way you came!)

Now you travel to Route 38, and go past that sailor. Than, you will come to Lass Dana. Go around her, and do headbutt to the tree right above her. (The one that isn't fenced off.) Otherwise, it won't work. (I spent 3 hours trying to find that tree!) Do headbutt, and then fight Pineco. (It is easy to catch, so use a regular Pokeball. Just to tell you, the Pineco that I caught was on red for hit-points.) There can be 3 Pokemon (that I know of) that come off that tree, so you shouldn't be impatient. (Hoothoot, Exeggcute, and Pineco.) And one more thing, Pineco LOVES to use selfdestruct, so it may take a while. Find a Pineco that doesn't like to use it.

you have to use headbutt on certain trees,you can get headbutt by going to Ilex forest and youll see a man headbutting a tree and whala you got headbut and then teach it to you Pokemon

Pineco can only be found in the Ilex Forest. The Ilex Forest is located south of Goldenrod and north of Azalea Town. Headbutt a tree to hopefully find a Pineco.
