You don't. Starter fluid is a really good way to damage the motor inside because it created far more pressure than the motor is designed for. It's best to find and fix the problem rather than use the fluid. You would put starter fluid in the gas tank.
It should be in the front of the motor on the bottom face off tward the right side. Its usally just to the right of the oil filter, unles u have a 4 cylinder

Remove the positive cable from your 1992 Chevy Lumina battery. Remove the cables from the front of the starter. Remove the starter retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new starter.
