If it has the 4.3L or the 2.5L engines it would be located under the hood, on the firewall, drivers side, close to the master cylinder. If it has the 2.8L engine it is located under the hood, on the drivers side inner fender.
The fuel filter could be blocked.
Check the fuel pump relay, fuel pump, and filter.
almost all relays will only fit into one place on the relay panel because of the layout of the contacts,, otherwise just get a wiring diagram --------------------------------------------------------------- Here is the actual listing for all relays on 91 jetta, some of these may not be equiped with your model. 1 Vacant 2 Intake manifold preheating relay (carburettor models) or fuel pump relay (injection models) 3 Seat belt warning system relay 4 Gearshift indicator control unit 5 Air conditioner relay 6 Dual tone horn relay 7 Relay for foglights and rear foglight 8 Relief relay for X contact 10 Intermittent wash/wipe relay 11 Rear window wiper relay 12 Turn signal flasher or trailer towing warning relay 13 Seat belt warning system (interlock) or rear window, driving lights and oil pressure warning relay 14 Window lift or seat belt warning system relay 15 Headlight washer relay 16 Control unit for idling speed increase 17 Fuse for rear foglight 18 Control unit for coolant shortage indicator 19 Thermo fuse for window lifters 20 Switch unit for heated driver's seat 21 Switch unit for heated passenger's seat 22 Switch unit for overrun cut-off 23 Vacant 24 Vacant
no
No spark .no fuel.
There is a fuel pump relay (or circuit opening relay) attached to the ECU (engine computer) located behind the dash.
The fuel pump relay is under the back hatch; on the right; there is a small plastic door; the switch is in there.
Where is the location of the fuel pump relay?
i have a 91 hatch back mine is located directly below the radio on the floorboard
The fuel pump relay is involved in the ignition sequence of the vehicle. It is usually found encased in a box attached near the steering column under the dashboard.
Lift the body
if you unscrew the radiator and under it you will see to cords you have to cut it out and it will loosen and relaese the relay switch
there is multiple relay switches on a 91 berretta
If you have a fuel pump relay in the 91 GMC, it will be in the large black fuse box under the hood, on the driver's side, next to, or close by the battery. But I don't think you have one. If I recall, the 2500 has the pump in the tank, and its control (pressure) is on the injector rail. (more like a regulator and it's non electrical) If your pump quit, it's most likely the pump, not a relay.

Swap the relay with a known good one.
The fuel pump relay should be in the power distribution box in your engine compartment, also the fuel pump inertia switch is in the right front passenger area ( 91 to 94 under the edge of the carpet) 95 and newer in the right hand corner above the carpet, but below the dash, or mounted on the right front kick panel.
