The power booster check valve would be located where the vacuum hose is connected to the booster. The vacuum hose is connected to the valve and the valve is inserted into the booster. They are usually made of plastic.
I would check the power brake booster
Probably have a defective power brake booster or the vacuum supply to the booster is restricted or leaking.
That would be the power brake vacuum operated booster.
on a vacuum type booster there is usually a vacuum leak. either on the rubber line that runs from the booster to the engine, or a hole in the diaphragm inside the booster. the rubber line is easy and inexpensive to replace so i would check it first. if you have a hole in the diaphragm the only way to fix it is to replace the booster.
Check your fuses
The booster is on the driverside fire wall and the MASTER CYLINDER IS BOLTED TO IT.
Did you check the Power Brake booster vacuum hose? Also the booster itself make have a busted diaphragm.
need to find out how to replace a power brake booster in a 2002 Chevy silverado 2500 HD
I am not sure about a 69 C60 but I am guessing it is not in the standard area, if that is the case, my motor home has it on the power steering pump... as I recall, 69 Chevy c60 booster is behind driver side step to get in truck
Sounds like it could be a vacuum leak at the power brake booster Check the lines to booster and the check valve at the booster Could be a defective brake booster also
If you have a power brake booster then there will be a vaccum line that runs to the brake booster on the firewall from the carburator. Check the booster for holes and broken fittings or buy a new booster. if no brake booster then brakes shouldn't affect vaccum
The power brake booster on a 95 Chevy Blazer is replaced by draining and removing the master cylinder, unbolting the booster, and removing it from the vehicle. A new cylinder is then put in its place and bolted on.
Perhaps a vacuum leak check power brake booster and check valve at booster
Perhaps a vacuum leak check power brake booster for leak and also inlet check valve on booster
Yes, it is typically in the fitting on the booster where the vacuum line is attached.
No, the brake booster operates off of vacuum not electricity. If the booster isn't working then check the vacuum line going from the intake manifold to the booster. If the line is ok and not leaking then you need to replace the booster.
The power brake booster is leaking vacuum and that makes the engine die when the brakes are applied. Replace brake booster.
