It is located on the transaxle.
Hey Carol==If it is from an Olds cutlas it probably will although some had a 3 speed and some a 4 speed. GoodluckJoe

Input Speed Sensor is on Front of Trans closer to the engine. Output is on the front, farther to the drive side. Both are two wire sensors.
Well the engine might be flooded
look at the air filter box and follow the big hose to the throttle body. somewhere on that hose (the biggest one) is a piece with several wires to it . that is the map sensor. be shure not to touch the spring looking things as this will kill it. The sensor that you describe is the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor, NOT the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor. Per Ford, my 1991 Ranger XLT 3.0L v6 EFI truk does NOT have a MAP supposedly because it has a MAF. I suspect his 1990 Ranger also lacks the MAP. The above is correct, that is the MAF sensor described by the first . On my 1990 Ranger 2.9L 4x4 Automatic, The MAP sensor is located on the firewall. It is on the passenger side of the distributor and towards the top. It is actually inside a compartment in the firewall. All you are able to see is the wiring connector that plugs into it. There is also a larger vacuum line that plugs into it. My truck appears to have both a MAF and a MAP I have also heard that there are some rangers out there that were made for California emissions regulations and are not equipped with either the MAF or MAP. Its either one of the other but I cant remember which one.
Under the car by the left rear wheel next to the gas tank.
I've got an 89 cutlass ciera and it is located behind glove box. open and pull out like 4 screws and there it is.
The 1990 Toyota speed sensor is located on the back of the transmission. There also is a speed sensor on the front passenger wheel.
The vehicle speed sensor is on the transmission. The ABS speed sensor is on the differential.
The only speed sensor on the engine is inside the distributor.
The speed sensor for a 1990 Cadillac Deville is located on the side of the transmission. Look for a 2 wire plug with 18 gauge wire.
The input speed sensor is the two wire sensor on the front of the transmission case closest to the engine.
The speed sensor on a 1990 Chevy Celebrity is on the top of the transaxle on the passenger side of the car. To change it unlatch and remove the wire harness then remove the two bolts that hold it in. The speed sensor can then be lifted out of the transaxle. To reinstall a new sensor reverse these steps.
At the rear of the transmission.
The speed sensor is what sends signals to the speedometer to display how fast a car is traveling. To find it on a 1990 Honda Crx Si it will be mounted on top of the transmission housing.
I have a 1990 prelude that is in the dealership as I write this to have the speed sensor replaced. I have just been told that it is on the transmition. It is a sensor.
code 26/quad driver module fault. I have a vibration when I acceleration at times. What is the cause? I have a 1990 oldsmobile cutlass cierra, 3.3 liter V6 engine. The engine light comes on and off. what is the possible cause?
