I have a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT (Wagon) and haven't been able to find a hitch. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? If I am able to find a hitch, I would then try to get the Outback trailer hitch wiring harness from my Subaru dealer. I would expect the wiring in the two cars to be the same, but I suppose they could be different. I noticed the Legacy wagons don't have the rear 12 volt jack that the Outbacks have. This is something I'd like to add too for one of those electric coolers. That would be nifty I think. Thanks . . .
The best answer is to take it to a dealer. They should install a new one for free. There is a recall (WXX81) for 1996 to 1998 Legacys.
The thermostat on a 2002 Subaru Legacy is located under the upper hose assembly on the radiator. To access it, you may have to partially drain the radiator.
A 2002 Subaru Legacy uses standard 10w-30 weight motor oil. During the winter, a lighter weight oil may be desirable in particularly harsh locations.
The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank on a 1993 Legacy. There should be an access panel inside of the vehicle to get to the pump.
the red one
The wipers of a Subaru Legacy will stop working if the fuse has blown or the motor is defective. The wiring harness may also become corroded or loose.
you through it at the place where you want it you dummy
take it to someone who knows what there doing
Behind the globe box
Subarus all have a connector for a trailer wiring harness built in. There is a supplemental trailer harness that you purchase from your hitch supplier and it just plugs right in. Instructions are available on-line. This one is for a 2001, but they have been the same for a number of years.
Subaru Legacy was created in 1989.
On my OBW, it's in the left rear stowage compartment with the jack...
Yes, Subaru made the Legacy in 1996.
Yes. You need a converter to combine the turn signals with the brake lights.
That depends entirely on what happened to it to make it need repairing.
Yes.
