1881 Thomas Alva Edison invented the light bulb
Thomas Edison
Thomas Edison
Thomas Edison invented the 1st sucessful lightbulb is the common misconception. The truth is that he did not.

He is credited for having the first incandescent light, but that is certainly not the first light bulb.

Prior to this, Nikola Tesla had already invented the Florescent light bulb. Before Tesla, the use of arc lamps was also available.

Thomas Edison was not the person who invented the light bulb. It was invented in 1806 by Humphrey Davy.

BUT HE DID IMPROVE THE LIGHT BULB BEFORE HE DIED....
