we have a 16 x 20 sign oil painting of the old mill what is it worth in todays market?
I have a large painting by E. Jalava which was purchased by my parents back in the sixties for about $700.00. If you put one of this artist's paintings in a newer and darker natural wood frame, it will take on an awesome transformation. The ornate gold and lightly painted frames from that era seem to distract to much from the atmosphere painted by this artist.
Edward Patry's oil paintings sell for about $5000.
ever find any info? I also have a painting signed E. Ludwig fall forest scene, if you want to compare images you can email me at giovannyz at comcast dot net, thanks

Ruth E. Newton is not a known artist, and there is no record of her painting a picture of Little Boy Blue. If you have more information about the artist or artwork, please provide it.

E Munch did the same subject twice in oil, twice in pastel and also a lithograph (which is printed in several copies).
I saw a painting that was signed by lee supposedly and was appraised for 40,000. It was of a cabin in winter in Virginia at night with a town in the background. It was awful. I'm not an artist, but it was pretty bad.
