Walter J. Lubken was a photographer and worked for the Bureau of Reclamation from 1903 through 1917. He photographed not only the various irrigation and construction projects, but of the towns, and life of the American West. He used a box camera with glass plates. He is noted for his excelled photos, and documented the construction of Boulder Dam. He was born August 24, 1882 in Boise, Idaho. Besides Photography he also worked as a store clerk selling dry goods. He died in June 1960 at the age of 77 in Boise, Idaho. ~ John Martinson, Boise, Idaho
