They aren't. Ordinary filament lamps aren't coated with anything at all. The inside of fluorescent lamps are coated with a mixture of phosphors (NOT phosphorus but very complex metal salts). Fluorescent lamps work in two major steps. The electric current causes Mercury vapour to emit ultra-violet light. The UV is absorbed by the phosphors and they re-emit it as coloured light. The mix of phosphors are there to emit a variety of colours so that the overall effect is a white light.

Fluorescent light bulbs have an inner wall coated with phosphor powder. This coating converts the ultraviolet light produced by the bulb into visible light when it strikes the phosphor.

What light bulbs are coated on the inside with powder?

Incandescent light bulbs are often coated on the inside with a white phosphor powder to help improve light output and color rendering. This coating helps diffuse the light and reduce glare, resulting in a softer, more evenly distributed light.

Is the inner wall of a fluorescent bulb is coated with potassium?

No, the inner wall of a fluorescent bulb is typically coated with a phosphor powder, not with potassium. The phosphor coating absorbs the ultraviolet light emitted by the mercury vapor in the bulb and converts it into visible light.

What bulbs do not have filament And how do they light up?

Flourescent bulbs. They have no filament and they light up. They have argon gas and a small amount of mercury in them. When electricity is added, the argon and mercury atoms get excited and collide against each other and create light. The light is ultraviolet light and if the bulb is not coated inside with phosphorous, you have a black light.

What are carbon filaments for light bulbs?

Modern light bulb filaments are usually Tungsten not Carbon. However early bulbs used things like silk coated with Carbon. Filament means thin thread. The bulbs are filled with inert gas like Argon to stop the filament from burning up with oxygen. Arc lamps use Carbon rods though.
