well I wasn't there -indeed I was born in June of that year but I imagine it went something like this: big double brick room 30 feet by 15. And the wife just has to change the colour! If any of you have painted such a room (I painted the whole house) you'll know when you just do the edges with a brush that you're thinking "there has to be a better way!". And there is. The edging with a brush takes for hours -the painting with a roller takes minutes! Thank you Norman Breakey!

To achieve a smooth and professional finish with a paint roller, make sure to choose the right roller nap for your surface, use high-quality paint, and apply paint in a "W" or "M" pattern to avoid streaks. Additionally, avoid overloading the roller with paint and maintain a consistent pressure while rolling.
When using enamel paint, a high-density foam roller is often recommended for a smooth finish. This type of roller minimizes texture and helps apply the paint evenly. For smaller areas or detailed work, a small nap synthetic roller can also be effective. Always ensure the roller is compatible with the type of enamel paint you're using for the best results.
