The Bostonians did not like the high import tariffs the British were putting on the tea.
That was called the Boston Tea Party.
The Sons of Liberty were responsible for the protest that saw 3 ships raided and their cargo of tea thrown into the Boston Harbour. This was part of a larger protest against what the American colonists saw as unfair taxation and interference from the British government in colonial affairs.
Colonists were sick and tired of paying taxes, especially on tea. So patriots dressed up as Indians and dumped about 340 chests off the ship and into the ocean. Also, The action was taken to prevent the payment of a British-imposed tax on tea and to protest the British monopoly of the colonial tea trade authorized by the Tea Act.
Britain was very upset they beat them up with brooms
The English government was outraged. As a result the port of boson would be closed until the tea was paid off, all committees of correspondence were forbidden, & the size of the army in Boston increased.
Nothing. It was a tax protest by a bunch of guys sitting around a pub who thought it would be a good idea to throw the tea off the ships. It was not organized as many think and it was spur of the moment.
Some of the colonists dressed up as Indians to disguise themselves, and threw crates of tea off the British ships coming into Boston, into the harbor.

Boston Tea Party was set off in the year of 1773
No. The "tea party" was not a party. It was an event in 1773 when American smugglers threw British tea off of ships in Boston harbor. The price of British tea had become cheaper by a LOWERING of the tea tax and the smugglers who brought in Dutch tea saw the cost go up . One of the biggest smugglers in the colonies was Hamilton and he was also a Son of Liberty so he got the men together to throw tea off the ships in protest of the monopoly by the East India company over the tea sold in the colonies. This was an economic issue and not political.
The British LOWERED the price of tea which made the Dutch tea higher in price which the smugglers sold. Adams was one of the largest smugglers in the colonies so he organized the tea party to save his business. That night over 2000 people were there and the men were NOT dressed as Native Americans.
No, the Intolerable Acts was a result of the Boston Tea Party. The Tea Act led to the Boston Tea Party
Yes off coz....
because of very high taxes which culminated into the action of the boston tea party where men went on board ships and threw off boxes of tea into the harbour.
The people just moaned. But an armed gang, probably in the pay of John Hancock, crept aboard ships of the British East India Company in Boston harbour and damaged 2 million dollars worth of tea. This criminal event was laughed off as the Boston Tea Party.
The tea was thrown off the docks in Boston into the Atlantic Ocean.
Samuel Adams goal for the Boston tea party was for the British to take the tax off the tea.
