Ven and Roxas have some sort of connection through Sora. We know that they are all connected by some relation, but nothing is known yet. More will be explained in the upcoming 'Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep'.

∙ 13y agoThey look alike because if you pay attention to KH BBS and KH 2, you will see that Xehanort takes over Terra's body and Ansem takes him in as his apprentice. Then when Xehanort dies, he's still in Terra's body right? So Xemnas and the heartless of Xehanort look like Terra instead of Xehanort. And since Xehanort took Ansem's name before he died, he is Xemnas. So Xemnas is actually Terra's nobody since he was still possessed when he died.

Why is Roxas called ven in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep?
Roxas and Ven are the same people, at the end of birth by sleep Ven asked Sora if he could keep his heart in Sora. So throughout all the other kingdom hearts games that Sora was in Ven was inside of him (just like Kairi in the first game). when he became a heartless, and a nobody ven's heart became Roxas.

He is also the 13th member of organization 13 and best Friend of Axel. well actually Roxas is not a nobody because, in birth by sleep Ven is put to sleep and when his heart realizes he will be asleep for a long time it joins it's heart to Sora's and later when Sora unlocks his heart it separates's Ven and sora's hearts. and Ven's heart forms Roxas in memory of it's original self. nobody's have are supposed to have no emotions but, Roxas does. and they can't wield the keyblade. so Roxas is NOT a nobody. -badkitty112

Not to sound mean. But this is so annoying. Ven and Roxas are not the same person. Birth By Sleep took place 10 years before the first Kingdom Hearts game happened. So Sora would be about 3 or 4 and Roxas wouldn't even exist yet. It's Ven. Not Roxas. Roxas doesn't appear in the game. At least not the main part. He might appear in the secert ending...I'm not sure.
In khbbs why does ventus look like roxas?
rumors say it is because Ventus is sora's father that's why Roxas looks like Ven Well, the timelines don't exactly fit for that theory. Ventus' heart merged with Sora's when Ven was about 10-12 years old. I doubt Ven could've fathered Sora.

However, Ventus and Roxas look almost exactly the same with the exception of clothing, which indicates some connection between the two. All of this is explained in Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep which is out in Japan and is scheduled to be released on September 7th, 2010 in North America and September 10th, 2010 in Europe. I don't want to ruin the game before it comes out, so lets not spoil the ending.

My Theory :The reason that Ven looks so much like Roxas is that in Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep in the final episode When Ven goes into sora's heart and he becomes the half that Sora needed after giving half to ven because Xehanort separated the dark half from ven (at the beginning of the game)creating Vanitas, but in vens final battle when he defeats vanitas in the sanctuary ( inside Ven's heart) vanitas fades away and Ven fades into Sora's heart . then in the first Kh game when sora becomes a heartless he creates a nobody that has the Ven half of sora"s heart making roxas look like ven please tell me if i over explained it

Roxas is Sora's nobody. If you take out the x in Roxas and unscramble it, you will get Sora. Ventus' heart was absorbed by Sora soon after his battle with Vanitas inside their fused heart. It is because of this that Roxas looks like Ventus.
