There are many kinds of terrain that snow tires just won't conquer ! -Here in western Canada we find all of them, and in snow season many people carry chains. These help immensely in going up hills where even the best snow tires slip due to very icy deposits at the bottom . They are also very useful to assist in braking. Even ABS equipped vehicles have trouble braking in ice and snow. Highway trucks here MUST carry chains at all times and also have to install them at the start of many hilly areas (by law).
put a new chain on it
Sure
That depends entirely on where you buy them. Not something we would know as you haven't said where.
are the tires the right size, and all the same size, how many did you replace, is it AWD, are they inflated correctly, did you break a sensor taking off or putting on the tires
Yeah, I wouldn't put racing slicks on it if your gonna drive it in a yard, only if it will be on asphalt and it is gonna cost you alot more for racing slicks then regular go kart tires that you can buy at your local tractor supply.
So they can more easily move in snow and ice.
Yes, just be sure all the tires are the same size and put winter tire on drive axils, never use different size tires on a 4x4 all four must be the same size, or you will damage transmission.Answeryes
No need to change sizes with winter specialty tires. If your vehicle came with p235/75r15 tires, you can install the same size in a winter tire. Congrats on selecting a superior traction tire for safe winter driving, I suggest looking into the Nokian line of winter specialty tires if they are available in your area.
Winter, because there's mire heat and pressure in the Summer.
Water is way too heavy to put in tires, plus in the winter it will settle and freeze so your tires will be off balance. Also about the winter part, if you completely filled your tires with water and let the water freeze, the tires would explode, since water expands when it freezes.
The slimmer the better. Stock size works fine
Your car will have more traction in the snow, making it easier to drive. However, you should only put the tires exactly specifiedby the manufacturer on your car.
tire chains go on the drive wheels but it is best to chain all 4 tires if in extreme weather be sure to check with local authorities about chain regulations not all places allow tire chains by the way i drive for a living in British Columbia Canada and we chain all winter here Saturn does not recommend snow chains for any of there vehicles. I currently have 2 95 wagons and an 04 VUE My kids drive the wagons and I put 4 deep lug snow tires on them when they are at college in upstate New York. They have yet to get stuck. Hope this answers your question.
Since your tires are all season, they should be good. If you are worried they won't be, then it would be a good idea to buy some snow chains that can be put on your wheels without removing your tires.
A cable tire chain is used in tires, which are used in vehicles. The chain itself provides extra grip during winters and on slippery surfaces and is put on the tire of a car.
cause their badass
By snow tires. Make sure that you have appropriate coolant, put winter type windshield fluid in the reservoir.
