Heartbeat is regulated according to the energy requirements of the body. When you are standing still, you do not expend as much energy as you do when you are running or walking, so your heart rate would be slower. When you are supine/prone during sleeping, your heart rate falls further because your metabolic processes also slow down.

not really because the more still you are the slower you heart will beat because you aren't using as much energy. yes the more still the slower the heart rate but if you are running your heart rate will increase.
