I had this problem that was intermittant on my 1992 300E. after alot of searching, they discovered it was a crankcase sensor that was broken. does not show up on computer. it only happened when the engine was warm. the car would shut off after i had driven it 10 miles and would not restart till it cooled down. ANSWER 2 I think you will need to give LOT more information than this. Dead battery, corrosion built up on battery terminals, dead fuel pump, bad sensor, blown fuse, blown wiring, corroded wiring, bad distributor, bad spark plugs, out of gas, clogged fuel injectors, blown motor, dead cat caught in your belts, packrat taken up residence in your crank case, you ran it with no oil and it has seized up, I mean I could really go on and on. Please give specifics.

A common reason is the fuel pump relay. Turn on the ignition - you should hear the fuel pump run for about 1 second. If not, could be the fuel pump relay. Could be lots of other things as well you know!

Why does the SRS light stay on a 1993 Mercedes Benz 300E?

It is usually the seat belt buckle portion of your seat belt, the part secured to the floor or seat of the car but you will need to check this out with a local independent shop that has a scan tool to read this. You can just replace it with another from Ebay pretty easily, once you know that is the cause which most likely it is.

How do you replace a 1988 Mercedes Benz 300E ignition switch?

disconnect the battery first remove the horn cover use a 10 mm Allen 3/8's drive and remove the steering wheele its very tight the steering wheele will slide off without a puller remove the 3 screws holding the blinker/cruse switch housing in unplug them under the dash on the left side of the steering shaft. slide the steering shaft cover housing off and set aside insert the key turn it to the on position and now you can remove the hole ignition housing from the steering shaft if only trying to change the ignition and not the housing insert the key turn it to on and unscrew the outside of the housing and then pull it out then remove the the tumbler housing
