Site analysis is a vital step in the design process. It involves the evaluation

of an existing or potential site in relation to the development program,

environmental impact, impacts on the community and adjacent properties,

project budget, and schedule. The site analysis identifies environmental,

program, and development constraints and opportunities. A well-executed

site analysis forms the essential foundation for a cost-effective, environmentally sensitive, and rational approach to project development.

In other words Site analysis is done just to know our site better, evaluate all the elements of site - surrounding, landscape- flora fauna, water availability, existing infrastructure or need for new, climatic conditions, topography, soil, orientation etc. It helps us understand and question ourselves How best can i use it ? will it harm the environment ? Can we use it in an economical way - optimum use of resources with least wastage ? How best can the user benefit ? will the user be happy ? satisfied ? relaxed ? because in today's world everyone is running from stress, Going far to ease themselves. How can i understand and use the elements of nature to provide maximum comfort within this stressful life to the user is the aim and thus site analysis helps us understand these elements in such a detailed way.
