Why will 1995 Honda Civic DX only start when jumped with jumper cables- it won't start with a jumpstart pack that is fully charged- Ran for 30 min to charge and no start- Alternator or ignition switch?

If it were the ignition switch, the vehicle would not start even with a jump. The battery is either not holding a charge or the alternator is not providing the charge to the battery. You can have the battery and the alternator checked (usually free of charge) at an auto parts store,

well....chanes are high that it's the alternator. take it to autozone, and they will test the alternator for free, and since obviously you cant drive it there, you can still take the alternator out and take it into autozone. you might take your battery too, just incase. it could also be a ground from the alternator
