Why will my '89 Ford f150 300 six and manual tranny turn over but won't start?

Check to see if you have any check engine codes posted. You may have a cure or clue posted there. Remove a spark plug wire and stick a screwdriver in the loose plug wire end. Hold the scrwdriver's metal shaft 1/4 inch from a metal part of the engine while someone else tries the starter switch. Do you see a good blue spark? no? Check all fuses in the truck. The engine computer controls the ignition module but sensors control the computer.

if it has two tanks and the back tank dont work try blocking it of i had the same problem and the gas would shoot to the back tank not letting it start
