Why will my '89 Ford f150 300 six and manual tranny turn over but won't start?

Check to see if you have any check engine codes posted. You may have a cure or clue posted there. Remove a spark plug wire and stick a screwdriver in the loose plug wire end. Hold the scrwdriver's metal shaft 1/4 inch from a metal part of the engine while someone else tries the starter switch. Do you see a good blue spark? no? Check all fuses in the truck. The engine computer controls the ignition module but sensors control the computer.

∙ 14y agoif it has two tanks and the back tank dont work try blocking it of i had the same problem and the gas would shoot to the back tank not letting it start
