That's because you need to disarm the car alarm if you dont have the remote. To do this on the driver side there should be a fuse box. Open it, look for a little black button. Press it 5 times not too fast or to slow. After you've done this, you should hear the alarm beep twice and the little red security light should be steady instead of blinking. This works believe me!
Your spark plugs.
it is quite possible that your gas line is clooged or you need a new fuel filter.
Ok, a bit of work is involved in terminating a factory NISSAN alarm system. Normally, you would insert the key in the drivers door, turn left, then right to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning, you can disable it for good by doing the following: The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS white/blue |-| at the door lock switch in the drivers door. Meter these wires while turning the key in the driver door key cylinder. Once Located, splice into this wire with a similar guage wire, and put it to a solid chassis ground. This terminates the alarm functions entirely. However, at this point, this car would be exceedingly easy to steel, so I suggest you get an aftermarket alarm system to protect it from here on in. Hope you can nail it for the neighbors, (and your) sake! ALARMTEK CARALARMSTORE.com

You will have to get it to a shop for an estimate. It would be impossible to give a figure without seeing the extent of the damage.

There is no error code PO329 for a Nissan Altima. The closest codes for this would be P0335 which is the CKP Sensor or P0340 which is the CMP Sensor, Detectable Or Undetectable Circuit.
You can find a 97 Nissan Altima alternator schematic diagram in the vehicle's owner's manual. You can also check local auto part stores.

Would it be due to bad injectors

the location is directly under and to the left of the steerinhg colum that a one huge wiring harness connection i would not recomend taking it out though because once it is taken out nothing on the car will work because the alarm/ smart control unit controls anything
Normally you hit the lock button twice to make the horn beep, but I think your car does a double beep but it not the horn if it dont beep anymore you could have it fixed but would it be worth it?
