The key here is that your check bounced. You are responsible for making this good no matter what it takes. The landlord is counting on your check having sufficient funds when presented ... and any NSF's related to just your check, should be reimbursed.

What happens if the check wrote to walmart is returned?

The check tries to process again. If the process the second time fails, it is officially bounced and most places refuse your checks. Your bank charges you a fee for the bouncing each time it does not go through. Telecheck will take their $25 fee from your account at random. "I had this happen my bank had my account on lock down when I was out of state because normally I don't travel, and since I was spending money in another state. I had a check out to wal*Mart and it didn't clear the first time due to this, but the second time it did. I then had a $25 return check fee drafted out of my bank account from Wal*Mart not Telecheck. I contacted my bank, and was able to reverse this payment, as returned check fees in all 50 states can not be paid by personal check or e-checks, they must be guaranteed monies...WU, Debit Card (Not Credit Card, even though some will take this), Money Order, Cashier's Check, and Traveler's Checks. They are not allowed to charge the $25 fee automatically, since under the agreement you only authorized them the face value of the check, no more." ---Kyle Daniels

What is the difference between a streams suspended load and its bed load?

The difference between a suspended load and a bead load is a suspended load consists of the small particles or rock materials that are dispersed throughout the water and easily carried downstream. Why the alpha particles could not smash the nucleus apart?

The alpha particle is positively charged (as is the nucleus) and is heavy compared with the neutron that is neutral and lighter than the alpha particle.Another viewpoint:It depends what experiment the question is about. For example, over a hundred years ago, Rutherford bombarded gold foil with alpha particles and some "bounced off" what we now call the nucleus of the atoms. However, about ten years later he did experiments in which alpha particles did indeed "split" atomic nuclei. So, sometimes alpha particles can certainly smash a nucleus apart.

How does a harmonic balancer work?

There are several types of harmonic balancers but the most common type is the elastomeric type. With an elastomeric type balancer, a rotating mass is connectied with a rubbery substance acting as the connection. The rubbery stuff is bouncy and is calibrated in such a manner that the rebound force through the rubber (elastomer) is timed to counter the variations in speed of the crankshaft. Look at it this way, the crankshaft of a reciprocating engine changes speed in a a construction of overlapping sine waves as it accelerated during any power stroke and decelerated during all other strokes. This produces a compression wave (like sound) which is slowed through the elasomer (rubber) and them bounced back (echoed) by the rotating mass (typically a belt drive pulley). As the wave returns to the crankshaft, it produces a destructive interference effect to stabilize cranshaft rotation speed and thus reduced crankshaft speed variation.

Why are the slides inserted upside-down into the slide projector to see them right side up?

As light travels through a convex lens (used in most slide projectors), the light and slide image are turned upside-down. Therefore, in order to appear correctly on screen, the image must enter the lens upside-down, which would then be inverted by the lens to appear right-side up. **** Furthermore, they are reversed left to right. What applies to the vertical holds true for the horizontal. The above holds true for any type of slide projector that performs similar to a Kodak carousel. However, the cube projector (Bell & Howell?) was different because the image bounced off of a mirror before going through the lens. I believe those slides were inserted into the cube right side up, but backwards (left to right), but I'm not sure.

What is the definition of bounced in the world of banking?

A cheque is "bounced" when there is not enough money in the account on which it is drawn to pay it. If I write a $50 cheque on an account with only $40 in it, and someone tries to cash it, the bank will refuse to give them any money and will mark the cheque "NSF" for " Not Sufficient Funds".
