If the battery was very low on charge give it 8 hours or overnight. 2Amps means it's nearing the end of the charge cycle. It will never go to a zero ampere charge rate as the battery will always accept some current even when fully charged. Don't leave the charger on forever however since the charger will causing excessive gassing of the cells which is breaking down the water in the battery to hydrogen and oxygen gas. Excessive gassing will slowly evaporate the water and cause issues...

How long will a fully charged ds lite battery last for on the second brightness setting?

Normally, a fully charged Nintendo DS Lite battery will last for about 20 hours of gameplay (maybe more). There are, however, two things that could influence how long it lasts:One is the sort of games. If you're plaing games with lots of bright lights flashing a lot of the time or a game with lots of colour, the battery life will be used up more than another game. The volume you have your game on, also influences this. If you want your battery to last longer, keep the volume at a minimal and try not to play many busy games. Also, try to refrain from using the DS's wireless capabilities.Of course, the life of your battery depends on how new it is. New batteries may go well over 20 hours of gameplay, while older batteries will die a fair bit under. There is really no way you can counter this - just buy a new battery. If you want your DS system to last a bit longer, carry a charger around with you or get a spare battery and switch it with the used one when it has been drained.

How is acting in a fake setting as a child star on TV different from being in a reality TV setting where the cameras are always running?

One opinion: In a fake setting their dialog is preplanned. They have other people previously script their dialog's. In a reality TV setting where the cameras are always running the people make their dialog as they go. It is not preplanned.

Can you charge a 12 volt battery with a 24 volt charger?

I can if I charge 2 of them at a time. Most 24 volt chargers also have a 12 volt setting. What is hard to find is a 32 volt charger. We can charge a 12V battery with 24V charger, by connecting two 12V batteries in series i. e. the negative terminal of the first battery is connected to the positive terminal of the second, now the charger positive terminal is connected to the first battery positive terminal and the negative terminal of the charger is connected to the negative terminal of the second battery.

What setting do you set your charger on to charge a car battery?

I would recommend a slow charge of 10 amps at 12 volts.

How do you charge a 12 volt motorcycle battery?

Very gently. A motorcycle battery can't take as much charging current as a car battery, so you need to use the lowest setting on your charger.

I need to charge my lawn tractor battery. My battery charger has 3 settings on it. Which charger setting should I use?

The settings on your battery charger may vary the charge voltage (e.g. 6V and 12V) or the charge rate (e.g. 2A and 6A). Because you say that your charger has three settings, I would guess that either the charge voltage is fixed at 12V (and you have 3 choices for charge rate) or you have one setting for 6V and two choices for charge rate at 12V. Make sure the voltage is set to the markings on your battery. This is most likely 12V, but it's best to make sure. If you can't match the setting (you have a 12V only charger and your battery is 6V), you must use another charger or you are likely to damage the battery and to risk explosion. The charge rate setting is meant to allow you to charge batteries of different sizes. A lawn tractor battery probably should be set at the lowest charge rate, say 2A. Larger batteries, like the one in your car, can be charged at higher rates. Charging at a low rate prevents the build-up of heat in the battery and reduces the risk of damage.

How do you charge a 2002 BMW 745i battery?

Things You'll NeedCar battery chargero 1 Check that the electrical items in your BMW 328i are turned off and the key is not in the ignition. Open the hood and secure it.o 2 Place your battery charger near the BMW 328i's battery. You need the charger cables to easily reach the car's battery.o 3 Attach the spring clamp on the end of the red cable attached to the battery charger onto the positive terminal of the BMW 328i's battery. The positive terminal is labeled "+" or "Pos."o 4 Attach the spring clamp on the end of the black cable attached to the battery charger onto the negative terminal of the BMW 328i's battery. The negative terminal is labeled "-" or "Neg."o 5 Select the charge setting on your battery charger. If you need to boost your BMW 328i's battery quickly, select the highest charge rate. If you want to charge it slowly -- overnight, for example -- select the lowest charge setting. This setting is often labeled "trickle charge."o 6 Turn on the battery charger. Make sure it is charging at the rate you want. Leave it for several hours, or overnight if on a trickle charge.o 7 Turn off the charger. Remove the black negative cable attached to the charger off the battery's negative terminal. Remove the red positive cable off the battery's positive terminal.o 8 Move the charger away from the BMW 328i. Close the hood.

Can rechargeable batteries be charged by a car battery charger?

It's a good idea to avoid charging any battery with a charger that was not designed specifically for that kind of battery. A car (vehicle) charger is generally designed to recharge 12 volt lead acid batteries. (The actual voltage of the battery and charge is a bit higher than 12 volts.) Rechargable battery packs come in different voltages, and many if not most are not lead acid types. A lot are nickel-cadmium or lithium types, and they need a "controlled charge" that a vehicular battery charger will not be able to provide. And that's setting aside the issue of the voltages of the battery and the charger, which is critical. It's a bad idea to attempt to recharge a battery with a charger that is not designed to recharge that "flavor" of energy storage device.

How do you wire an old car stereo deck and amplifier to 120V so I can have a cheap garage stereo?

Use a battery charger. That converts AC to DC. Simply connect the + constant(usually yellow) on the deck and the ignition +(usually red) to the + of the battery charger and run the ground to the - of the battery charger. I was thinking maybe a computer power supply to have a more "permanent" type of setting? Is this a good idea?

Do you need to disconnect your car battery before charging it?

Charging Your Car BatteryNO, it is not necessary or even recommended to disconnect the cables from your car battery before charging. It is however very critical that you follow all o the charger instructions for connecting the charger to your battery, AND the instructions regarding setting the charger controls [if there are controls to allow different voltage and charge rates. The only reason I can think of for disconnecting the battery cables is if you needed to remove the battery from the vehicle [as for example to take into your garage for charging].

Can you use a 12 amp charger to charge 6 amp battery?

You can charge a 12 volt battery with a 6 AMP charger. The amount of amps put out by the charger is actually the rate which the power flows out from the charger, not the amount of volts it will charge. Volts and Amps are two different things. You can't charge up a 12 volt battery all the way, using a 6 volt charger. You can charge a 12 volt battery with a 12 volt charger rated at '6 amps'. It will charge the battery faster than a 2 amp charger will, but it will take longer than using a 12 amp charger. You probably don't want to use anything higher than a 12-16 amp charger for charging a 12 volt battery. Some chargers are equipped with a 60amp boost charge that is used for starting the vehicle, without having much of a charge in the battery. You DO NOT want to attempt charging a battery with it set to a 60amp boost charge. That is for starting vehicles only and could damage your battery. Keep in mind that the lower the amps are, that you use to charge the battery (1-2amps), will result in the charge lasting longer without recharging it, than if it was charged up at a higher setting (12-16amps).

Can a car battery charger be used on a motorcycle?

Yes and no. If you use a jumping unit, most have a setting that should match your cycle's battery voltage and limit current. You can jump one cycle's battery with another cycle's battery provided they are the same voltage and a rechargable-friendly (for example lead-acid) chemistry.

Can I Use portable 12v 1200amps charger for 375 A garden tractor battery?

Only if the voltage is the same (12v battery and 12v charge) and there is a lower amperage setting on the charger like around 10, maybe 30 but for small batteries 30 amps is a lot of current and they may get to be too hot warping plates, boiling acid away, and melting the case! 1200 amps... yeah, that's WAY too much. Don't use that setting!
