The ignition and fuel pump run off the same power Circe so I would look to fuses and relays first.
But if there is no spark the fuel pump on most wont turn on past the prime cycle.
Have somebody crank over the engine and observe if theres any gas mist coming out of injectors, if so make sure also that your getting spark at spark plugs.
If you are getting power to your coil and you still have no spark at the spark plug, you have a bad coil. Beyond that you will have to chase the electrical system. could be a fusible link.
the whole question is confusing in many ways. of course it won't start without fuel pressure or spark!!! and why couldn't it crank without them??? and how do you know it doesn't have either F.P. or spark if you don't even know why it won't start or why it cranks without fp or spark. no offense, maybe you're having a bad day but i guess I'm questioning your basic knowledge of cars. so it won't start i guess, you know it needs fuel and spark. it also needs compression. a good battery, an engine full of oil and plenty of air to the intake also help. start with that
You may not have any spark, you need to check for spark with a spark tester..If you do not have spark it could be caused by your spark control modulel, bad coil ect.find out why you have no spark...Have you been having problems before with the truck turning off or stalling, prior to this? If so then i would suspect the spark control module.
If the 93 Stealth came with a crank sensor but it does not have one now, then it will not start. The sensor shows the ignition coil when to send power to the spark plugs.
incorrect ignition timing, no fuel pressure, or no spark.
Check for spark, fuel, compression Check ignition timing
yes it does, every car has spark plugs or it wouldn't start.
I would recommend checking the dist.cap and rotor .It could be carbonized which quite possibly could be the problem. Also check all of the spark plugs and wires while your at it.
no spark died while driving shortly after start yes has fuel pressure.
start with dist cap and rotor
Did you check to see if the coil was receiving any power? If its not it might be a bad wire, or possibly the ASD Relay.
well, theres dodge, durango, datson, daimler, desoto
check the spark plugs. may not be catching fire.
Have somebody crank over the engine and observe if theres any gas mist coming out of injectors, if so make sure also that your getting spark at spark plugs.
It's either not getting fuel or spark is the reason it won't start.
Recently had same experience with my dodge and escort. in the escort it was the distributor and the dodge was the brainAnswerCheck your ignition module in your distributor that is a good place to start.
