There is a switch that controls the brightness of the dash illumination. You can adjust them from bright to dim and off all together. Be sure the switch is not in the off position. The dash illumination has its own fuse, check that also.

My dashboard light is out completely in Corolla 2001 and in night could not read see anything where as other indicator lights like turn lights high beam are working fine in dashboard?

Answer DASH PANEL ILLUMINATEDMost likely, the fuse for the instrument panel illumination is blown. This fuse is separate from the fuse(s) which serve the circuits supplying power to the turn signal indicators, high-beam indicator, and dash gauges. Another reason that the dashlights are not coming on could be that the panel light dimmer is turned all the way down. Look around on the dashboard for a knob which doesn't seem to do anything. While in the dark, with the vehicle lights on, turn the knob back and forth. On some cars, if the knob is turned all the way one way or the other, it will turn on the dome light. It is also possible the light bulbs are burnt out, depending on the mileage of the car.

Why would the left turn signal indicator stop flashing and indicator light remain lit on the dashboard and the exterior lamps stay on?

The front turn signal bulb is blown. This is a feature of all modern cars, so that the operator becomes aware that the bulb is not working.

What does the oil indicator dashboard light mean?

All of the indicator lights come on for a few moments immediately after you turn the key to the start position. After that, if the oil indicator comes on stop driving the car until the cause is found. The oil indicator light means the engine is not getting enough oil either because the oil level is too low or the oil pump has stopped working. In either case, it's a serious problem and operating the engine under these conditions can destroy the it.

Why would the right turn signal indicator inside the car stop working when you turn the right blinker on but the blinker outside still work and how do you fix it?

There is also a light bulb in the dashboard, although most newer cars use LED's. The only way to fix a dashboard lamp failure is to remove the dashboard itself, which can be a complicated procedure dependent upon how new the car actually is. Some dashboard assemblies are "modular" which basically means that they can't be repaired, rather replaced and the old one just thrown away.
