I'm no expert but what I would say is that the Renaissance was the breakthrough of multicultural thingking. The primary example of that is the renaissance man, or someone who uses the past and the present, the classic and the contemporary and seeks many avenues of expression. Obviously though, affirming the earth was round, physics and science, classical music are a few nice things to have around as well as a whole section of history class to devout to this wonderful topic.
