Hi, The first part to ask you is yours a 4wd or 2wd? If it is just a 2wd, then all you have to do is remove all your bolt then nudge it loose, don't pry it with a tool as it can be damaged. By the way, I'll take it for granted that you know to drain all your oil firsr? Make sure you have your new gasaket and gasket goop and clean all the surfaces well before you reassemble. All of the info is the same for a 4wd, if your '03 is anything like my '97, you need to disengage the front drive shaft at the universal and when you remove or drop it out of the way, then you'l be able to remove the oil pan. My gasket had to be replaced last year and that's what I had to do. You might want to check the condition of the universal while you have it off and see if it also needs to be replaced, Gofd luck with it. Steve H.

To change the oil pan gasket on a 2003 Pontiac Aztek, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Drain the engine oil and remove any components obstructing access to the oil pan, such as the exhaust or crossmember. Remove the oil pan bolts and carefully detach the oil pan from the engine, clean the mating surface, and replace the old gasket with a new one. Reinstall the oil pan, torque the bolts to the specified settings, and refill the engine with oil before reconnecting the battery.

Once the pan is off, unbolt the old oil pump and detach it from the engine; replace it with a new oil pump, ensuring proper alignment.
