open bleed valve on top of distribution pump, crank engine till fuel squirts from valve, tighten valve, turn over couple times. Add heat and fire up.
on a petrol frontera the pump is part of the sender unit and is located inside the petrol tank. On a diesel however the fuel is sucked forward by the ddeisel pump attached to the passenger side of the engine below the alternater. hope this is helpful. tyretech
To bleed a diesel pump on a Vauxhall Astra, first ensure the fuel tank has sufficient diesel. Locate the bleed screw on the fuel pump, usually near the fuel filter. Using a wrench, loosen the bleed screw slightly and turn the ignition key to the "on" position without starting the engine, allowing the fuel to flow and air to escape. Once you see a steady stream of fuel without bubbles, tighten the bleed screw and attempt to start the engine.
wher is fuel pump located on diesel vauxhall veectra
The diesel pump on a Vauxhall Frontera, including the Olympus model, is typically located in the engine compartment, mounted near the fuel tank. To access it, you'll need to lift the rear seat or remove the access panel in the cargo area, depending on the model year. Always consult the vehicle’s service manual for specific instructions and safety precautions before attempting any maintenance.
Before you can fix the idle problem on your Vauxhall Frontera, you need to find out the cause of the problem. If the problem is with the fuel pump or fuel filter, they would need to be replaced.
Try ECU on fuel pump.
under the bonnet up to years of 97
take to a garage to bleed needs a mehanical tool to prime bleed the fuel, if u try to self bleed it by turning the engine over u will destroy the fuel pump, and big money to replace it
if it's the Isuzu motor it's self bleeding, turn the motor for 5 seconds, leave for 3 mins and repeat. or tow it off.
The fuel pump is part of the injector pump, althoug many diesel vehicles have a separate lift pump in the fuel tank as well.
The timing of the injection pump may be off.
I have the same model. It is behind the right hand headlamp as you face the engine.
