First you need a compression gauge which you can buy at any local automotive dealer.. Take your spark plug out and hook the gauge up to your cylinder head. It threads in just as a spark plug . Shut your gas off! At the same time hold the stop engine button down and hold the throttle wide open and kick your bike over a good 6 times (hard kicks) until the needle on the gauge tops out. Do all of this while your bike is cold, It gives you a more accurate reading. And log the number you get down so when you do it again in the future you can compare
24 clicks of compression
