behind the light switch ( this pops off or get to from behind dash)
is a module you need to pull it and either splice (jump) the big red wire
and the red/black one together or you can cut and tie them together
this will permanently disable the anti theft but still
allow starter to start car.

Sorry, but gave it my best shot and couldn't find anything on how to disarm a 2001 Ford Taurus alarm system. You should have a manual to the car and if you can't find it phone the dealer. Their mechanics may even tell you and not charge you for it.

The only way i found to disarm the alarm was to use the back hatch lock. lock it and unlock it a few times with the key. if this doesnt work try the door locks
Disconnect vehicle battery ground cable from battery and wait 10 minutes. The system will now be disarmed to make repairs.
