A noisy fuel pump can not be fixed. The pump can only be replaced when there is a problem with it.
A noisy fuel pump is usually a sign of a failing fuel pump. First thing is replace the fuel filter. A partially clogged fuel pump will cause the fuel pump to overwork and be noisy. sometimes pumps have a mind of there own and are just loud sometimes. especially if the pump is newer and/or if the supply line is to big. external pumps are always louder. you can quiet the pump down a little by wrapping something around it. always remember, if it ain't broke don't fix it.
In the good old days you could fix a fuel pump with a rebuild kit. These days you can't fix a fuel pump, you replace it with a new one.
You replace it you do not fix it.
