The only way I have got this right is by getting some 1000 or 1500 grit water (emery) paper and sanding the basin / bath until the stain is gone. Keeping the water paper wet seams to help alon with regularly wiping the area with a wet (damp) sponge to remove the bits sanded off.
It does leave fine scratch marks that can be removed easily enough with some car polish afterwards.
It does require quite a bit of sanding for the stubbern marks, be carefull not to sand through the gel coat though, which shouldn't easily happen as it is usually a few mm thick.
I have only resently done this, so I don't know what the long term effect of sanding a bit of the top layer is, but I really can't think of any negative effects. I wouldn't use this method repeatedly on the same spots though, as there is only so much you can sand away before causing new problems.

It is the sprout in the center of each garlic clove. When the garlic is young and fresh, the germ is tiny and pale in color. As garlic ages, the germ grows, turn green, and becomes bitter and is hard to digest. Why get rid of it?When using raw garlic, it is a good idea to remove the germ for two reasons:1. it is bitter.2. it is hard to digest. How to Remove the GermIt's simple. Yes, you can generally repair a bath stained by clove oil using a few different methods. Start by cleaning the area with a mixture of baking soda and water or a gentle dish soap to remove any residue. For stubborn stains, a paste of baking soda and vinegar can help lift the discoloration. If the stain persists, consider using a commercial bathroom cleaner specifically designed for tough stains, but always test it on a small area first.
