The oil pan on a 92 Ford Ranger is removed by taking out by placing a drain pan under the engine, removing the retaining bolts, and prying the pan loose. It can then be lowed from the engine and removed.
You have to remove engine there is no other way.
The oil sending unit on a 92 ranger 2.3 engine is on the drivers side of the motor. It is on the back of the head.

The oil plug on my 92 Lesabre is under neath the engine towards the rear of the oil pan. Mine takes a 9-16ths wrench to remove the plug.

Hello, The transmission filter is located in the transmission oil pan under the car. Remove all the bolts to drop the pan, remove old filter and replace. You will also have to drain and refill the fluid. Good luck

The oil pump on a 92 Chevy S10 is changed by draining the oil, unbolting the oil pan, and lower it from the vehicle. The pump can then be unbolted and a new one put in place.

you can remove the cv halfshafts and the front axle driveshaft then drop the differential assy down to access the pan. its not all that easy one way or the other. with a lift it is easier to drop the axle.
