Remove the intake manifold retaining bolts from your 1993 Mercedes-Benz manifold. Remove the old manifold gasket. Clean the surface and put the new gasket on.
Left side of engine under the intake manifold.
It hooks up to the Injector Rail where the injectors are inserted into the Intake Manifold.
You will need to remove the cylinder heads. Remove the old head gasket and clean the head gasket surface. Put the new head gasket on and reverse the process.
To remove the engine from a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 190E, start by disconnecting the battery and draining the fluids. Remove the air intake, exhaust manifold, and any accessories like the alternator and power steering pump. Disconnect the wiring harness and any remaining hoses, then unbolt the engine mounts. Finally, use an engine hoist to lift the engine out of the engine bay carefully.
To remove the fuel injectors on a Mercedes 190E, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Remove the intake manifold to access the injectors, which may involve unbolting various components. Carefully detach the fuel lines and electrical connectors from each injector, then use a socket or wrench to unscrew them from the engine. Be sure to replace any O-rings and seals during reassembly to prevent leaks.

The cold start injector on the Mercedes-Benz 190E is located on the intake manifold, typically near the throttle body. It is used to provide extra fuel during cold engine starts to aid in smoother combustion. To access it, you may need to remove some components like the air filter housing or intake manifold cover. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for specific details and procedures.
To remove the oil pan from a Mercedes 190E, first, ensure the engine is cool and the vehicle is securely lifted. Drain the engine oil and remove any components obstructing access, such as the exhaust system or crossmember. Unscrew the oil pan bolts in a crisscross pattern to evenly release tension, then carefully pry the oil pan off the engine block, taking care not to damage the gasket surface. Clean the surfaces before installing a new gasket and reassembling.
It is under the air filter. Remove the air filter, the cold start valve is located in the middle of the intake manifold, very close to the valve cover. You can identify it easily as there is a blue coloured electrical terminal connected to it on one side and a fuel line feed on the other, which leads back to the CIS fuel distributor.
The fuel injector is located under the air-cleaning unit in the engine. The air-cleaning unit is held in place by 3 nuts, once loosened the unit lifts off to expose the injector and air intake manifold.
