Using automotive parts on a marine vessel can lead to serious safety and performance issues because automotive components are not designed to withstand the harsh marine environment, which includes exposure to saltwater, humidity, and temperature fluctuations. Marine parts are specifically engineered to resist corrosion, provide better water resistance, and handle the unique stresses of operating on water. Additionally, using non-marine parts may violate safety regulations and can result in liability issues in the event of a failure. Ultimately, using the correct marine components ensures reliability and longevity of the vessel.
