I read on the suzuki forums that disconnecting the battery for a period of time greater than 10 seconds will do it.
However, if the source of the cause of the light hasn't been fixed prior to you doing this, it will come back on when you reconnect it, good luck mine is also on, i am coming to realise that a common cause MAY be the wiring harness under the passenger seat breaking connection because of repeated seat movements. It may be just the connector you have to squeeze together.....
It's actually a problem under both seats. Clip the zip tie that's holds the wire to the bottom of both seats, unplug the wire and plug it back up. That should take care of your problem
i installed a radio w/ harness and the airbag light is on, how do i turn it off or reset it?
No, but there should be. I have the same problem with my Suzuki forenza. as well as numerous other safety defects. What a horrible lemon.
To reset the driver's side airbag in a Suzuki Forenza, first, ensure the ignition is turned off. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for about 10 minutes to allow any residual charge to dissipate. Reconnect the battery terminal, then turn the ignition to the "On" position without starting the engine. The airbag system should self-check, and any warning lights should reset if there are no underlying issues. If the airbag light remains on, consult a professional mechanic for diagnosis.
The easiest way to reset the 2006 Suzuki check engine light is to remove the fuse. Keep the fuse out for 10 seconds, and replace it to its original slot.
With my Forenza , Sometimes when backing the check engine light will come on and stay on ,and the car runs rough as it is low on power . After Turing it on and off a few times , the check engine light will turn off and the car will run normal . What's the cause of this .
To replace the brake light switch on a Suzuki Forenza, locate it on the pedal shaft, release the wires that connect it, twist and then take out the old brake light switch and put a new switch in its place. The job can be done by any handy owner.
Push the button that says "HOLD" next to your shift knob.
it allows you to hold a particular gear thereby avoiding any unwanted gear changes
airbag light. if it turns on it means your airbag will not deploy.
There is a switch close to the steering column that turns it off.
To reset the airbag light on a Suzuki SX4, you can try disconnecting the vehicle's battery for about 10 minutes, which can sometimes reset the airbag system. Alternatively, using an OBD-II scanner to read and clear any stored airbag fault codes can also reset the light. If the light persists, it may indicate a deeper issue that requires professional diagnosis and repair. Always consult the owner's manual for specific instructions related to your model.
it is the control of the sensitivity of the steering - see handbook
