Stop complaining and put your seat belt on donekey, or you might end up like the guy I saw the other day, whose car overturned, he was thrown out of the side window, somersaulted in the air, hit the highway and then got hit by a car travelling in the opposite direction. Seat belts are there to protect you, so you should not need to disconnect the reminder. To disable the seat belt chime on a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, first, ensure the vehicle is in the "On" position without starting the engine. Fasten and unfasten the driver's seat belt three times, ending with the belt unfastened. After the third unfastening, the chime should stop; you may hear a confirmation chime. If done correctly, the seat belt reminder chime will remain disabled until the battery is disconnected or the procedure is repeated.
Once you put your seat belt on and buckle it the chime will go off. If it does not then take the car to the dealer for warranty repair.
