The staples are easy enough to remove from the stapler, I use a staple remove tool that is usually used to remove staples from documents, the type with a long handle.

The issue for me is, although this is easy enough to do, this tends to happen several times per day, every day with this stapler. It is time consuming and a bit annoying to deal with this everyday. I suppose I will just trash this stapler, and purchase a new one...

Bostik as in a stapler? You probably have to cut the pipe where you think it is at. I don't think a plumber's snake is going to help.

Does it hurt to remove staples in the head?

Depends on what/how you mean. If you managed to accidentally get staples stuck in your head, yes you are looking at a fair world of hurt getting them pulled out, though the doctor will likely administer a local anesthetic to help a little bit. However, if you are referring to medical staples (which are sometimes used rather than stitches) they won't be significantly uncomfortable to remove.

How do you remove carpet pad?

The padding is simply stapled to the subfloor in most cases. If it is stapled down, just rip out the padding in pieces as large as possible. There will be small pieces of padding still stuck to the staples. Now you can either pull up the staples one by one using a staple remover (this will take a long time) or there is a scraper tool you can buy at home improvement tools that you can scrape along the floor to remove the remaining staples and padding.

Where can I find information on how to remove a dog's surgical staples when needed?

Ideally you wouldn't remove the staples yourself - the veterinarian or vet tech would do this. The visit is pretty cheap, but this way the vet gets to take a look at the surgical site and make sure everything healed up like it was supposed to.
