Third age total war is a mod (moderation) for medieval 2 total war kingdoms. If you are a fan of The Lord of the Rings trilogy and you like the real time strategy the creative accembly offer then you will really enjoy it. There is also the Lord of the Rings total war which is basically the same but in the style of Rome total war (but it has no fellowship campaign, as third age total war does). The choice is yours which mod you download. Personally, I would go for third age total war because it has the fellowship campaign which is very good. Also, the actual film itself is set in medieval culture. I hope this helps in some way, cya!

About a third
Yes it is, it caused the War of the Ring at the end of the third age.
12+ is what is on the box i believe
Prior to the atomic age (1945) the effect was total victory. In the atomic age (today) the effect would be mutually assured destruction.
WWII was the US's last declared war. Was also the last pre-atomic age war. Since we have "nukes" now...can't be declaring wars anymore. Declaring war=equals total war. Total War=Atomic weapons.
download the mod, install it too your rome total war (main) directory, set the launch options to -show_err -nm -mod:bi/ci by right clicking on whatever is your rome total war in the steam games menu and just run it
Total war is all out war; using all weapons available. The Korean War and Vietnam Wars were not total wars; they were LIMITED wars...limited to non-nuclear conventional weapons. Total wars can no longer be fought in this age of atomic weapons, without risking "mutually assured destruction."
Third Sacred War happened in -356.
